Oman Paralympic Scores 5 Medals

Oman Paralympic team keeps on impressing the nation by bringing back home five coloured medals in the Asian Paralympic Games in Jakarta, Indonesia. One Gold, three silvers and a bronze medal.

Mohammed Almushaikhi managed to get the first medal for Oman as he won a silver medal in the Scepter game. On his achievement, Mohammed said: "Unfortunately I scored the silver while the target was the gold medal. None of this would be possible without the blessings from Allah and my mother's prayers". He added "thanks to all the sponsors and supporters for believing in me". By the end of the tournament, he decided not to leave the tournament without bringing back the gold medal in Shot Putting. On the same game, the silver medal went to the Omani player, Mohammed Alasmi in Shot Putting.

Meanwhile, Taha Alharrasi managed to bring back two medals for Oman. The first medal was bronze in 100m run and the second one silver in 400m run. Taha Alharrasi completed the 100m in 12:32 seconds in his first time to participate in Asian games level. On the following day, Taha brought another medal for Oman in 400m run. He qualified to the finals and won the silver medal as the second fastest in the 400m run.
