The airport was first operated on 23 July 2014, with a total capacity of over 50000 passengers annually, the total space is approximately 8600 sqm, with a 4km long - 75 m wide runway that is compatible to receive all types of aircraft. The passengers' terminal contains 2 boarding bridges connected to 5 checks out counters that are connected with E-secured gates and eight baggage check-in. It also holds services that include duty-free shops, car rental booths, and hotel reservation.
